Bastian's (8) story on the big move and missing his daddy in South Africa

Me and mommy did a Podcast on our move from South Africa to Ireland, so we thought it will be good to do a blog as well.

When mommy told me that we are moving I felt a bit sad because I was going to miss my other dad (biological dad) and my Pappa (grandfather).

I felt nervous when I went to a new school but the kids were good and friendly to me. I have alot of new friends. My teacher is nice and pretty. My teacher at my old school was very mean. Christmas in Ireland was good because I spent it with my family and called my other daddy and Pappa.

During lockdown I do school work, I love my school work. I also play games with my dad, go for walks, feed the duckies and play outside. I miss South Africa because my dad and Pappa is in South Africa. I do not miss South Africa because of the crime and the bullies. I also do not have to take ritalin anymore in Ireland.

I think my sister (2.5 years old) is sad because she is acting up lately. She is bullying me, bossing me around and taking my stuff and always want to speak to my Daddy in South Africa. The best part of Ireland is my family, my new friends and I am not afraid of anything when I go for a walk with mommy and daddy and sissie at night.
