About Us:

Your Immigration Coaches

Welcome! We’re so glad you found us.
At SA2Eire, we are proud to call ourselves Immigration Coaches — here to guide you toward the right information, support your planning, and empower you to navigate your move confidently.

How We Help:

We point you to the official sources, mainly from the Irish government’s websites, because we believe the best guidance comes straight from the right places.
Our platform is built on thousands of hours of research and real-world experience — but we always encourage you to read from the official links we share, to understand every part of the process for yourself.

All the information on our site is specifically compiled for South African passport holders, or those with dual citizenship (South African & Irish/EU/British/other).
We’ve adapted the process to make sense in the South African context — comparing life, systems, and expectations you know from home with what you’ll find here in Ireland.

How to Use This Information:

  • Grab a notebook and start jotting down key points that apply to your family’s unique situation.

  • Build your own personal “immigration file” — this will become your go-to reference from your first research steps right through your early days living in Ireland.

📝 It’s your tailor-made roadmap — and you’ll be glad you have it!

A Heads-Up:

Home Affairs documents take time to get!
Even if you’re just thinking about moving, order them now.
If your plans change and you move elsewhere, you’ll still need these documents for any international relocation.

Important Note About Passport Holders:

Our expertise is specifically for South African passport holders (including dual passport holders).
We unfortunately cannot provide accurate advice for citizens of other countries.
For example, Zimbabwean citizens may find similarities, but there are key differences — especially with visas and entry requirements for Ireland — that must be carefully followed.

🔗 Please always refer to the official links we provide for full, accurate, up-to-date information.

Do Your Own Research Too:

While we are here to help guide you, we also encourage you to do your own reading.
If your case is complicated, please seek advice from an Irish-based Immigration Solicitor.
Solicitors have the authority to represent you legally — we don’t.

🌟 For most people, the move is straightforward: you are either eligible, or you are not. No solicitor or agent can “make you eligible” if you aren’t.

Saving your hard-earned money by researching properly is a huge win — you are more capable than you realize.
You can absolutely do this — and we’re right here to support you!

A Final Important Note: Republic of Ireland vs Northern Ireland

This page applies only to moving to the Republic of Ireland.
It does not cover moves to Northern Ireland (which is part of the United Kingdom).

If you’re planning to move to Belfast or elsewhere in Northern Ireland, different rules apply — and you’ll need to follow UK immigration laws.
(Helpful links are provided below.)

Key points about Northern Ireland:

  • South African passport holders cannot freely cross the invisible border between the Republic and Northern Ireland without the appropriate visa.

  • You will need a UK Visitor Visa (for visits) or the correct work visa (for employment).

Please read the official UK and Irish websites carefully to understand the requirements if you plan to visit or work in Northern Ireland.
(We do not cover working or living in the UK.)

Wishing you every success on this exciting journey! 🌍

We are here to answer your questions in our Facebook Group, or for our Gold Members, chat informally with you on Telegram.
